CT13 transformed Misbah's popularity. He was the most popular Pakistan player on show by far for some time which followed.

I fear CWC15 will be similar - Misbah the sole contributor, team letting him down. I'm certain Misbah will perform assuredly as ever, not sure about the team following suit, but putting Misbah down to be in the top 5 run scorers. Don't have confidence on Pak going beyond QFs, but sense Misbah will have a memorable campaign individually. Best by Pak batter since Miandad's 5 50s in 1992. 

But let's hope he at least he gives himself the best shot in selection. The selection of Kamran Akmal and Shoaib Malik in the last world tournament he captained in was inexplicable. As a captain he will have to take some responsibility for their lack of performance as he controversially backed them. 

I personally hope Misbah plays Test Cricket after the 2015 World Cup. They'll need him for 2015 UAE series vs England and 2016 away tour of England.

Hafeez wasn't. Had a bad tournament. Averaged 14.
