On this day Pakistan lost the 1983 World Cup semi final under Imran Khan.
If they won it, it would have been the first and only India-Pakistan World Cup final.
Also, in the 1987 World Cup there was a possibility of a Pakistan-India final with them playing different semi finals. However, both were beaten in their respective semis at home.
