Pakistan to Tour West Indies Next Year Author: Maaz; Views: 1747; Date: 12-11-2012, 07:09;

Pakistan will be travelling to the West Indies after the conclusion of the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy in England.

Pakistan last toured West Indies in May/April 2011.

Pakistan lost the T20 international, won the ODIs 3-2 and drew the test series 1-1 on the tour.

Pakistan has never won a test series on Caribbean shores since first visiting in 1958.

The two sides will meet before that during the 2nd fixture of the 2013 ICC Champions Trophy at the Kia Oval on the 7th of June.

Last time when Pakistan was touring the Caribbean, Gayle was not in the West Indies squad due to problems with the board and Narine wasn’t around either for them.

Younis Khan was also unavailable for the test series due to the tragic death of his brother.

Ageing players and no cricket/series in Australia/New Zealand before the 2015 World Cup are the biggest concerns ahead of the World Cup in March 2015. The only major series Pakistan play outside the sub continent are South Africa next year before that. There could be changes of course. The FTP full can be found on the ICC website. For the ones after 2015, I've only done the major ones and ones that are definitely likely to go ahead.
