Scotland Win World Cup Qualifier

Scotland won the ICC World Cup Qualifier today in New Zealand. They will join Group A at the ICC 11th World Cup next year. UAE also qualified as runners up of the final and will join Group B. UAE have qualified for the World Cup after 1996, a 19 year gap. Scotland qualified for the World Cup after 2007 when they last played in the West Indies. UAE will be playing in the upcoming World T20, but Scotland failed to qualify for the 16 team event, despite managing to qualify for the 14 team event of the World Cup. Paul Collingwood has been helping out team Scotland this winter as part of their qualification hopes and preparation. Aqib Javed achieved his mission as UAE coach of qualifying for 3 World finals under his tenure; being the U-19 World Cup which gets underway this month, the World T20 in Bangladesh which also gets underway shortly and the big one of the 2015 World Cup, having reached the final 2 of the World Cup Qualifier. Khurram Khan will be leading UAE at 43 years of age at the World Cup next year.
